MEET OUR TEAM

Ryan Ruskin

Ryan has built, bought and sold several business as well as worked with several private equity groups affiliated with these transactions to facilitate the closing of these transactions.  Further deepening Ryan’s understanding of the importance of getting every client the optimum financial and personal results he is the father of five children with his wife Kali which gives him great perspective into the impact the sale of a private business could have on the seller and his/her family.

This understanding along with his educational background and business background  is what drives Ryan to push for the best results for every client not only personally but financially and allows him to help his clients navigate the difficulties and the joys of selling a business they have put their heart and soul into.

Additionally, Mr. Ruskin obtained an undergraduate degree in business management with a minor in jazz piano from Berklee College of Music in 1996 followed by a JD in Law from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999.

Both degrees have provided Ryan with an exception ability to blend not only the need for creativity in navigating business and contractual negotiations it has supported Ryan with the ability to capture these arrangements within the legal framework necessary to represent the firms clients with a unique perspective.

Tony is an accomplished executive known for his exceptional expertise in growing brands and companies across a diverse range of verticals and industries. With a career spanning several decades, Tony has honed his skills and amassed a wealth of experience in working with organizations that have been acquired by private equity and other entities.

Throughout his journey, Tony has found great fulfillment in working with owners who are seeking a transition or exit strategy for their businesses. Jordan seamlessly juggles her responsibilities as an Executive Assistant, leveraging her organizational prowess and interpersonal skills to ensure smooth collaboration between clients and the executive team at Ruskin & Associates. Currently on the path to academic achievement, Jordan is on the verge of completing her undergraduate degree in Business Management. Bob Bevington, OD

Director, Optometry Transitions
Dr. Bob Bevington, O.D brings nearly 25 years of experience in practice transitions consulting. As an optometrist, he offers clients the rare advantage of firsthand understanding of the clinical, financial, and personal considerations involved in buying or selling an eyecare practice. Bob graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where he served as president of the OSU chapter of the American Optometric Student Association. Early in his career, he began acquiring practices, and within ten years became the sole owner of four of them. In 1998, he co-founded Clear Choice Laser Eye Centers, and, as CEO, oversaw the launch of 18 LASIK centers nationwide. In 2001, Bob sold his practices and his ownership interest in the LASIK company and transitioned into consulting where his background included: business development, marketing, and management, with a primary focus on practice transitions, including extensive experience with developing Valuations in conjunction with his client’s CPA’s. Bob is known for a collaborative, creative approach to structuring win-win transactions. While he has experience with private equity sales, his primary expertise is in OD-to-OD transitions. Bob is also the author or co-author of four Christian books, including The Bookends of the Christian Life, co-authored with the late Jerry Bridges and published by Crossway. Now in its 10th printing, the book has been translated into Nepalese and Korean. He is a father of four and a grandfather of seven (and counting).
